A late 40s blouse, that would have been worn through to the 50s and early 60s as it goes so well with skirts and trousers. The style flatters many figures, nipping in at the waist and then flaring out to disguise the tummy. Alyays a bonus that! The open V neckline is youthful and slimming, and suits all necklines (especially those with short necks like me!)
The fabric is 100% cotton with an embroidery anglaise. That means there are tiny holes as part of the embrodiery so a skin coloured bra is recommended to finish the elegant look! It is a light cream, more buttery than it looks in the pictures.
The sweet bow is a sweet touch and could be removed if you'd like to add your own flair to the top - perhaps a bow that matches your skirt, a brooch, or even a row of three little buttons.
Worn with our high waist trousers or a vintage skirt they won't show any tummy and will still allow plenty of movement. They have passed the boogie test with our dance customers already.
They do up with an invisible zip at the side.
If you have had one of our Bow blouses before, you will need to order a size down from what you had last time. We have corrected the bust and shoulder to waist ratio so you no longer need to go up for the waistline.
