If the other Hep Cats Holidays are anything to go by, the first one in Suffolk is warming up to be FAB! They cater for a wide music taste, providing just the right mix of classes and dancing. The trend is to dress vintage style, though as detailed or relaxed as you want to be. Plus, you are all on one site so if you sweat yourself out of one outfit it is easy to go and freshen up.

Crich has a tramway museum that comes to life every Easter, and we are really excited to be involved this year. You can dress up to fit in with the wartime mood of the village then ride and see the amazing number of gorgeous trams from years gone by. There is not much dancing, so plan for a lovely day out. We went just for the day last year and ended up coming back the next day too. Bring a hanky for the veterans parade.

Marvel at the vast array of jukeboxes displayed at the Brighton Jukebox Show, then hang out and dance to the live bands. The shopping is good, with vintage clothing stalls, record stalls, housewares and (of course) US! It is a good chance to pick up outfits and gifts for the summer season ahead. There are Fab cars to drool on too.

Rocking weekend at Hemsby in Norfolk, and man does it rock! Amazing bands to listen to all weekend. Lots of late night dancing and umm...drinking. The shopping is great, the restaurant both good and cheap, and the car boot on the Sunday always unleashes a bargain or two. Ohh, and there are rumours of a pin up contest this year.
Hemsby is one of the very first rocking events, now on No.44. They do 2 a year, so that is 22 years worth. Wow, that is a lot of beer! (NB: The second one is in Oct, stay posted for dates.)
It is kid friendly so there must be 20 somethings that grew up there. THAT explains it!

Another fantastic weekend in Weston Super Mare, where Hep Cats strut their stuff. Swinging bands, vintage movies and great dancing combines into a great weekend. As usual, Robert and Clare cater to a wide dancing audience with their music line up, while bringing you some of the best bands from around the world. Relaxed, catered, and (again) all in the one place, so you can go and have a kip before dinner - perfect for those able to stay up to the wee hours!

Uniforms, Tanks, Guns, Girls and Music... Need we say more? The war and peace show is awesome, especially if you like khaki. It is a re-enactors dream and very educational for the rest of us. There are some great displays, some incredible music and a fun filled weekend for the whole family. You can camp out too, which is advisable cos it is so big it will take week to explore.
Good Friday dance, a spot of burlesque and men in uniforms everywhere (not that I am looking).
Bring sun screen and wellington boots, it can go both ways.

The summer version of the Easter event (see above). Same but warmer! We recommend staying on into the evening for a sing-a-long and a pint in the old pub that was moved brick by brick from its original home. After dark the trams put up their black out curtains and move eerily along the vintage street. Vintage cars, re-enactors camped in the bushes, and many people dressed in their best war-time fashion.
The little village, complete with sweet shop and ice cream parlour (Omm num num...) is as stunning and lovely and authentic as we have EVER seen.

In its ninth year, this nostalgic, annual Swing, Jazz & Jive music festival is now regarded by many as by far THE BEST RETRO MUSIC FESTIVAL IN THE COUNTRY! We don't dispute it, mainly cos it is summer and there is nothing quite like dancing under the stars after dusk. They have added a 1950s music stage while maintaining the interest of the 40s lovers too, not an easy feat sometimes! The dancing in the hanger on the Sat night (late, after the audience has gone) is some of the best we have known.
We recommend booking early as many were disappointed in 2009, especially if you want to camp.
It is a family show, so you can bring Granny and the kids and set them up on deck chairs while you take off to dance and shop - perfect! They have all the best stalls too (and we should know!).

Blackpool hosts an unbelievably cool weekend of swing for only 200 lucky people. Terry and Pam bring together a great line up of bands and DJs all under one (very pretty) roof. You will have enough time to pop down to the Blackpool tower and laugh at some of the Stag and Hen parties in the town centre too.
It is a really relaxed weekend (probably because everyone is well fed). For some reason it also seems to be really hilarious... or maybe that is just Gypsy John?

Goodwood, the home of motor racing, so here you see the most fantastic cars. They set the site up so well it is the equivalent of a disneyland for retro people, minus the mouse.
There are many of your favourite stalls as well as some that only come out for this. The atmosphere is sizzling, probably because precious vintage motorcycles and cars are hurtling around a race track.
Dancing is either on grass or concrete so bring appropriate shoes/knee supports/red bull as you won't want to miss out - The bands are continuous and fabulous.
The cars, outfits and entertainment are 20s to 60s style. Actually so is the burger van and the ice cream truck. Here they go all out, so you might as well too, hats, gloves, handbags, furs...
