We couldn't resist these lovely stripes when we found them (we have a different colourway in the martha blouse too)
Stripes of various thicknesses feature beige, different shades of blue, orange, rust red, brown and olive. To me the print is quite timeless - and will lend itself to summer holidays, paddling in the lido, golf, tea dances and even take you to work when you need a boost. A pair of smart red heels will make it more serious but edgy. Some off white wedges make it more playful while tan flats lend the whole outfit to casual adventuring. I think this one might just be my favourite this season.
This design was inspired by an original 50s dress but it is so classic and simple it could be dressed 40s, 30s or even 20s. It opens to the waist with buttons and is of the "wiggle into" variety with no zip. You then pull in the extra fullness at the waist with the tie.
