For something a little casual for the men, we have re-created a late 1930s "sport shirt" full of period correct details.
The pattern that this shirt is based on dates from 1939. The style itself would have been fashionable a little earlier, as sewing patterns tend to follow behind high fashion. The width of the collar and the fashionable double flap pockets were popular for some time, so it would suit any 40s re-enactors.
The fabric is a really lovely, drapey Iinen mixed with Rayon. It doesn't crush as badly as pure linen does, and is soft to touch. It washes well and looks authentic. Most of all - it is lovely and cool! Perfect for the dance floor or hiking through the wilderness!
